Summer = Softball Games

Fort Drum Softball Tournament
Each Battalion has a team, I'm playing for 1-32 Infantry.
Our first game of the day was against an Aviation Battalion.
After our infield came together we gave em a what fer!!
Our second game was against 2-14 Infantry.
This one was an ESPN Classic. We were the home team,
Top of inning 7, it's tied at 11. They get 3 runs in, but we aint scared.
Bottom 7, somehow we have two outs and we haven't scored yet.
Men on first and second, and guess who's turn it is to bat?
So I get the count of 3-1 on me. Gotta be a meatball coming right?
Indeed it was. Ripped down the third base line. One guy scores easy,
the second man just makes it to third. The throw from the out field got cut off by the pitcher in the infield so I'm haulin to 2nd base and slide to beat the throw.
The throw goes wild and into the out field. The man in third goes home tying it, and
the throw home goes wild so I keep on truckin!! The catcher gets the ball and tosses
it to the pitcher covering home just as I'm sliding in kind of sideways. I go plowing
into the pitcher, dirt flying and skin tearing...what's the call gonna be!!??
PITCHER COULDN"T HANG ON TO THE BALL!!!!
THE RUNNER KNOCKS IT LOOSE!!!!
1-32 WINS!!!! 1-32 WINS!!!!!

And these are the lovely wounds that saved the day!!!
Double header again today if we win our first game.

Here are the major events in the last seven years:  1. Ryan got off active duty military and we moved to Berea, Kentucky.  Ryan enrolled at Eastern Kentucky University. Ryan also joined the Kentucky National Guard. From moving so much I became fascinated with simplicity and minimalism. I am now a self proclaimed minimalist. I love having less stuff!  2. Ivy Helen was born on January 10th, 2014.  3. Summer of 2014 we moved to Bozeman, Montana. Ryan studied aviation at Montana State University. Ryan joined Montana National Guard. I got back into full time cosmetology educating. I also worked at MSU family housing. 5. Ryan graduated and is official a commercially rated pilot. We moved to New York for Ryan to go to aviation mechanic school. Ryan got out of the military completely and transition bec...

Here's some of our happenings up in the North Country. And if you thought we were patriotic before, take a look now. We acquired a giant flag (it goes from our living room to kitchen, covering our entire couch).
