Robert's birthday

Friday night we headed down to Utica for a nice dinner with my parents which ended with an eventful ice cream outing. We were all sitting around the picnic tables enjoying our dessert when all of a sudden my mom spotted a skunk lurking nearby. As you know Malczyk's aren't the softest speaking people and our  conversation of deciding it was time to head out quickly was heard. Within 2 minutes the entire ice cream shop was cleared out and the skunk had free range, who knew one creature could have such power! Saturday morning we headed further south, this time to Cohoes to celebrate Rob bob's 2nd birthday. I think Robert had a great birthday, who doesn't love getting tons of cars. Thatcher sure enjoyed himself.

Success!

Do you remember my blog post about my first attempt to give Ryan a military haircut? Let me remind you, it ended up like this. I've been asking for another chance to attempt the medium skin fade and 2 years later I was granted. Take a look, no bald head!

Birthday

Last Friday was my birthday, turning 29 (one more year to the big 3 0) and it was a nice day. It all began early in the morning with singing phones calls. In the afternoon Thatcher and I attended Ryan's "mandatory family fun day" where we got to check out Ryan's mortar system. And the evening was dinner with my boys at Primo's (a new Italian restaurant). Earlier in the week Thatcher and I got to watch Ryan play some softball games where one night he had a great diving catch out in left field.
His first foe-hawk!

And summer just keeps going...

Our summer still keeps going and going. This weekend was a lot of fun. We got to visit Ben & Jen at their new place in Cohoes, we got to spend some time with Matt & Vicki in Tivoli and Ryan & I had a great date. We went shopping at Ikea, had dinner at On the Border and went to a Coldplay concert. Thatcher is enjoying his summer and keeps us smiling.
