Indoor boccie ball

For FHE we played indoor boccie ball. A few times the game got a little intense and we had to officially measure. Ryan won 5-3.

Our new neighbor

Yesterday Ryan told me that there's been a bird sitting right outside our front door. Of course, I freaked out!  I made him shoo the bird away and a few minutes later it was right back. I then decided that we would probably have to take more serious action, use the gun! Ryan said he didn't feel like going to jail for shooting a bird and so instead he got the broom and pushed the bird away, far away. We haven't seen him since.

Boredom

Before we were married Ryan would warn be about how bored you get living at Fort Irwin. I was determined to make the best of this place and not allow the boredom. I lasted 9 months and 17 days. Today we were both extremely bored!  We couldn't think of one fun thing to do, unless we wanted to drive 30-90 minutes and we didn't feel like being in the car. We finally decided to go to the PX but we couldn't even find anything there to waste our money on. So we stared at the wall, listened to Christmas music and drank Snapple. What a Saturday at Fort Irwin! p.s. Usually they say a picture is forth a thousand words but this time one word (boredom) requires no picture!

Tailgate Party

We experienced our first tailgate party of the season. BYU won in the NCAA football playstation 3 championship! Ryan played great, even though his fingers were a bit soar and his hands a little sweaty. I was the cheerleader on the couch. We had a bunch of snacks (including bean dip) and made sure we represented the cougars well.

Another FHE

We had a great FHE. We made our own marshmallow shooters. I was the Russian and Ryan was the American. Guess who won?

Rainbow Basin

Take a look at the lovely scenery that is soooo close (within 30 mins) to Ft Irwin. Just beautiful.   We had a picnic. A bit forced since the jeep was getting a little hot and needed to cool down.   I'm glad Ryan bought a jeep instead of a mini!

Date night

If you pay for something, you better use it!  Ryan's an official member of the gun club and so we try to take advantage of the membership fee.  I'm slowly starting to join in on the extremely loud fun!  Notice the target...I'm now actually hitting it.

Everyone who's American Needs One of These

I'm not really sure about back east or any where else in the country, but here in southern Californ-i-a, we see a lot of these mirror flags. However, every single one I've seen has been something other than that of our own country of the great US of A.The majority I see are south american countries. Now don't get me wrong, I'm for other people from other countries living here. It's what America's all about.Just do it legally. Anywho, so I figured I'd show where I'm from (I'm kinda hoping it'll get some people mad or get other people a bit more aware I guess). Foreign flags should be flown at that nations embassy or at the useless UN. Gotta love America folks!!

Gun #5

Ryan's new toy!  He carries it wherever he goes (inside the house).

Speaking of guns!

Ryan fully believes in practicing his second amendment rights.
And we're proud to be Americans...

Dish washing

Ryan's good at helping with the dishes. I enjoy watching his style of washing. I haven't seen him use a washcloth yet, but this method works. I think it's somewhat similar to shooting!
