Oh the fun I have with this child! Sometimes he doesn't like it!!!

Ryan's out in the field for a few weeks so it's just Thatcher and I. We went down to Utica to help the time pass. Reminds me of deployment days a bit. I'm just glad it's only a few weeks! My mom and I canned 45 pints of food, chicken, beans and peaches. We spent some time at the Yorkville Little League Park listening to a polka band and visiting with neighbors (Mr Chin). Thatcher is now rolling over from stomach to back and back to stomach so I never know how I'm going to find him sleeping. He also had his first bath in a laundry basket which as you can tell wasn't his favorite.

Ryan had 2 weeks of leave (aka: vacation). The 1st week was Ocean Isle Beach and the 2nd week was local trips (more details to follow later). Thatcher's week 2 consisted of participating in Dad's World War II phase, taking some family pictures (thanks Aunt Camille for helping pick out this lady catching suit), hanging out with Grandma King, eating cereal for the first time, and being shocked that this is the "life of a King"!

What a great summer we've been having!  The last 2 weeks have been full of Muppet's, ocean, sand, music, games, fireworks, site seeing, fun, family and hot humid weather.  Check out where we've been and what we've been up to: The boys had to show off their patriotism. Ryan's teaching Thatcher from an early age to love his country. All the grandkids. It wasn't easy getting them all to look one way but I think this picture will work. Don't you love this picture? Ocean Isle Beach was awesome and fun but the pool was refreshing! 4 babies...what an adventure. The sun just wore this kid right out. If he's part of our family then he must be crazy too!
