7 years later, I finally have my own salon chair. Today I got to officially use it for the first time.  I'm a firm believer that a good chair, can lead to great haircuts!

Ryan has been eying our glass candle holders since our wedding reception!

Ryan loves no bake cookies.  In the Malczyk household we called them "poppy cookies", for obvious reasons! Ryan had this grand idea, make one giant cookie. We believe it was equal to at least 5 regular cookies. 

I thought I'd post a few pictures of our scenery!  This is Fort Irwin road, the only road to the base. It's 37 miles to Barstow, the nearest town.

Today was V-day and it was quite a nice day. The sun was shining, we got to sleep in (well I woke up at 4:45 am but eventually dozed off again), went to church, had a nice lunch and got to share some nice Valentine treats.  In preparation for V-day Ryan and I made cards. We got out all the stickers, markers and paper we could find and started our creations.  We did have a challenge along the way, making mistakes.  It seems that everytime I write any type of card I mess up. I even practice on scrap paper but for some reason the second I start writing on a brand new card I forget a word or completely write the wrong word.  I seemed to pass that along to Ryan that night!  We finally finished all our Valentine's and were quite happy with our progress!

This is my first attempt of starting a blog. I wasn't planning on becoming a blogger but decided it might be kind of fun. I'm not quite sure what I'll post on this blog. It will most likely be some of my random thoughts and crazy pictures of what we do to keep ourselves entertained here in the Mojave desert.
