Weapon Day

Today was a successful day. After months of waiting, paperwork, finger printing, mug shots, references and trips to the Sheriff's department I am now a New York State license pistol permit holder. The reason for this permit = to get Ryan's pistol out of the Company Arms room. I had success! Who would have ever thought that I'd be in the first in the family to be able to carry and conceal a weapon! A bit scary huh?!!

Where's Ryan #2

Here's an update of Ryan's Thanksgiving: "We had us a pretty big meal over here. Lots of different stuff to eat. We played the ANA in some volleyball but we lost all 5 games.haha.Was fun though. Got to talk to Mom, Dad, Mallory, Andrew, and Uncle Geoff when I called home. Was really nice to talk to them."

Awesome pictures!

And here is my favorite!
WHERE'S WALDO? I MEAN...WHERE'S RYAN?

Crazy Dream

I had quite the dream last night and it’s worth sharing. It took place at the Utica church building. The main theme was war re-enacting .   Some family members were there, tons of Carthage primary kids and youth since it was scout, activity day and mutual night. Ryan and I were also there and Ryan was the main character of the dream. It all began with opening exercises in the Relief Society room and then the battle proceeded to begin. I had the job of delivering important documents (which contained pictures of the bad guys) from the old primary room to the chapel. My mission was successful, not a single person spotted me.   After my mission was complete I looked up to see Ryan on the stage shooting off mortars. He had on his ACU’s and was sitting in one of the white church chairs. His mission too was successful but incomplete until he grabbed his Captain America shield and sword.   Then his real fight began. He too had a successful battle. What a dream!!!

Completed Project

Here's the completed quilt project and maybe only (they're a lot of work)! Etta helped me pick out the fabric at this great shop in NC and taught me how to put the blocks together. Mom taught me how to fill it, back it and quilt it. And I figured out the pillowcases on my own.

Rubbing off

I asked Ryan this question the other day, “What do you love about me today?” His reply was this, “…that I’ve rubbed off on you.”   Let me explain why this was his reply. A few nights ago I made myself a nice dinner, got out the tv tray and sat down to watch... …....a war video. His favorite in fact, Saving Private Ryan. Funny and interesting the things that have rubbed off!   I’ve watched Tracy become a wealth of sports knowledge, Etta can identify airplanes and Hannah eats more vegetables! I’m now becoming a WWII expert.
