R&BKing

Monk has now been replaced (we watched all episodes of 8 seasons) with Buddy.  Our newest show addiction is Cake Boss.  My favorite cake so far is the one that was made for Sesame Street. Ryan's favorite was the cake made for the airforce. We're only half way through season 2 so our favorites could possible change.

I have been craving cheese balls for months, before we left California. We have had a hard time finding them. Saturday was a great day, we found them! To avoid the cheesey orange fingers we created "cheese ball utensils". They work great and now my craving is over. 

When Ryan was at Fort Drum as a single guy, he'd often gather up the troops and have a Saturday morning breakfast at Bob Evans.  We decided to relive the tradition. The main difference was that we went at 7:30 while the boys used to go at 10:30!

This is a couple examples of what we do in our free time.  A big improvement from our free time in Cali.  Broni cuts and colors her own hair!! Truly a hair stylist. She got skills. Items used: foil and bleach and scissors. Doc Boy built his first legitimate plastic model since he was about.....I don't know.  A long time ago. Items used were spray paint and a couple of brushes. Not bad. Not as good as Pops though. That includes when he was a kid. 1/72 scale Ch-47 Chinook.One of Dirt's favorite helicopters.

I came home one day and found this sign. Ryan likes to use the same cup all day (better then his yearly cup!) and I kept putting it in the dish washer. I decided to compromise! Plus, it gave me an excuse to try out some vinyl work. This was my first attempt. I recently got a Cricuit machine and love it. I may have actually found a hobby.

This is our new place. It's quite different scenery from Fort Irwin, but we like that! We are pretty much unpacked and organized. This week Ryan received all of his deployment gear. The time is drawing near.

We had to make sure the tree and house were secured while visiting family for Christmas. Ryan called out to  his soldiers. Can you spot the one soldier in the tree? Do you see the soldier protecting baby Jesus in our manger? p.s. there were lots more than these 4!
